Emmy's back!

Emmy learned out to eat rice cereal... Well, it's a work in progress.

This is Dominica's major airport... all of it.

This is a beach scene from Pirate's 2.

Remember in Pirate's 2, when the crew of the Black Pearl is trapped in that hamster ball and running (rolling) from the natives? This is where the ball rolled down the hill (the road was editied out)

This is the place where the fish guys from the Flying Dutchmen were fighting Elizabeth and the other two guys for Davey Jone's chest.

Island Wildlife

There are many edible animals on the island. Emmy loves the local hermit crab popcicles.

This leaf is really big...

There are many varities of cool looking lizards.

This little guy has been climbing this vine since the late 18th century, we speculate.

Ft Shirley (Cabrits)

A view from the restored portion of Fort Shirley across the bay. The yachts here are from all over. The people will take little dingy boats to the beach during the day, then back the the yachts at night.

Ft Shirley

This is Fort Shirley, aka the Jungle Book's inspiration. This is an old Brittish fort that was abondoned and literally reclaimed by the forest. It's located on the peninsula across the bay from the university. It's about a 25 min walk from our house.

Cathy would like you to appreciate the amazing architecture of this old comandant's mansion. We have renamed it Castle Hermit Crabina as you can't step inside this place without squishing a cute little hermit crab.

This is the old barracks of the fort. These trees are literally growing out of the old stone walls and completely encompassing them with vines. I'm not quite light enough yet to swing on them, give me some time...

This is a hollowed out tree... amazing.
