Mangos=Emmy's favorite thing

this was right before she burst into tears becasue I wasn't refilling her net thing fast enough...wow
Tomas is back and his hair is longer.

Mangos bring her joy...

I don't know why this is small... but Jason and his friend are loving helping Emmy with her mango obsession.

Emmy after a long day of fun.
the first isle of our grocery store-- the bags are sugar, brown (raw)sugar, flour, etc.

I put this bundle of spinach next to Emmy so you could see how big it is-- it costs 75 cents at the market.

the second row of our grocery store...

the last row of our grocery store-- yes folks that's it.

to market, to market

to buy some fresh fish-- yes that is a machete
this is on the way to the market-- those are the fishing boats. BEAUTIFUL

the market!

an awful friend that I found on the way to the market== thankfully he was dead in the road- that's why my foot is so close!

I thought this was cute.

now that's what we call an intelligent expression...

another great binkie tan line picture. that's her thinking face

one of Emmy's favorite things- her toes!

she is thinking about army crawling... she pivots around and around and moves forward just a little--it seems like a lot of energy but she is determined!

oh to be Emmy...

(YOU WILL NEED TO CLICK ON THESE SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE WHOLE THING) She is so cute!!- check out her little bug bites though :(
this should be a Coca Cola ad

Emmy has a binkie tan line!!! it's much worse in real life- ha!

I want to be Emmy- she has a pretty sweet life.

Happy Mother's Day to Liz! Jason picked me these flowers himself- I love him.

Scenes from Dominica

this is a beautiful beach that Emmy and I go to almost every day :)
there is a reef just to the right of this dock (well it was a dock before the last hurricane)

our newest animal discovery-- we've seen really green ones and ones that are darker like this he was HUGE and pretty fast.

this is a fisherman on Indian River (where Capt. Jack Sparrow sails up to see the crazy witch lady)

To the Carribe Indian Reserve

The Carribe Indians are a mixture between South American and Asian characterisitics. This guy is stirring ground root in a huge heated cauldron making what will eventually be Malt o Meal.

This is a view from the entrance to the Carribe reserve.

This is where a large river outlets into the ocean. It was here that Jack Sparrow took his small boats upstream to see the witch doctor lady.

A white sand beach on the way to the Carribe reserve.

Trip to #1 beach

#1 beach is where they filmed the scene in Pirates 2 where the cannibals were chasing Jack Sparrow accross the beach to the Black pearl. It's a 15 min hike from the road through rainforest.

It was raining on and off (it's always raining on and off) so we improvised...

This is the beach. I'm standing right about where the Black Pearl was beached.

Emmy and The Market

Emmy's new hairdoo. We've decided to utilize the tufts of hair on the side of her face.

Turns out, when Emmy's hair is combed forward, she looks like a little boy... We call her Thomas...

This is the Farmer's market in town every Saturday morning. As you can see, it was pouring adding to my already crappy mood from waking up early... If you look the other way, there was a full rainbow over the Carribean sea landing on a pirate ship. Unfortunately, Liz decided that i was a prettier picture...

Campus

We found this big fella in one of the gutters on campus.

The main entrance to campus

There are little holes all over the place here... homes to these little land crabs.

A random class room at Ross... they all look the same.

At the Beach

This is PBR. Porstmouth Beach Resort. It's right next to campus. This is were the cast of "Pirates" stayed when they were on the island.

I was supposed to be hidden so you can see Emmy standing by herself...

This dock was wiped out by a hurricane last year. Great place to snorkel.

This is black sand.

This is Emmy on black sand.
