Cavanaugh Jay hospital photo shoot.

I only got a few of this angel boy while we were in the hospital-- the light wasn't great

but I loved the shots I got -- mostly because they register 1% of how perfect he is in real life.

I can't believe how much he has changed already- and it's only been a week~ I feel like we wait so long for this sweet new born and then that stage is gone in a blink.

I'm pretty sure that he got one of my dimples!!! the jury is still out-- but if it's there, like I think it is-- it's official- he is my favorite- I've been waiting for a dimple to show up somewhere in my children-- so far only my nephew Ryan has gotten an adorable dimple-- and I feel like that's not really fair.
 the hair-
the most perfect little nose-- that I love so so much because I can see it without a rotten, and life saving air tube.
and as always I can't get enough of these baby tootsies-- his are like little monkey feet-- I just love him.

Emmy and Cavan together at last.

Emmy has been on her antibiotic long enough and she has been fever free for over 24 hours- so she can finally really hold Cavanaugh for as long as she wants!

they are in love.- It's precious.

oh this baby!!!

Thank heavens for Booky

I don't know what I would have or would be doing without my amazing mother during this experience
She has cared for my wild/sick children
Kept Emmy from polluting the world and kept her happy- no small task
Done the laundry, the dishes, read endless books, loved endlessly each kid so they don't feel forgotten,
Made endless spots, told endless stories
Spent endless hours in the parking lots and offices of doctors, kept a drink constantly by my side, kept my kids clean and fed and helped in every way imaginable. I don't know that I would have survived this little crazy rough time without her.

Our little green lantern billi blanket boy

He is laying on a magic billi killing light
He really does looking like some kind of glow worm
Jason has high hopes that he will develop super powers from this experience.

He isn't super wild about binkies-- but adores his daddy's thumb

All dressed up and ready to go get his heel pricked again at the hospital the light said his billi was 10.8- not very accurate.  Day 3 his billi was  14.8-- awesome. Day 4 was 15.4 -- seriously. They gave us the billi blanket and my milk finally came in- and today it's 14.6 yippee!! One more night of glowing and he is good to go!
The great news is he is already back to
His birth weight plus a tiny bit! Such a little stud :)

Emmy has a new love- finally!!!

Emmy has been very sick- she got sick the Sunday night before the Monday induction- if you are doing the math you'll note that she has had a fever for a whole week now- what a nightmare! She tested positive for strep and then reacted to the antibiotic with an itchy rash-- all the while throwing up, and needing to run to the toilet constantly...she has been very listless - due to the fever and lack of nutrients in her body... So sad. But finally today she is on a new antibiotic and seems to be feeling a little better. So much better in fact that she could finally enjoy her little brother! And she insisted on wearing a dress- and wanted to go out-

Here she is-- Cavan didn't disappoint- we've been talking for months now about him peeing all over everything - which he did his first diaper change witnessed by the girls- and how he would spit up on everyone at some point-- which he did this morning when he got Emmy's foot.

I just love this.
