Our life lately...

Daddy has been working nightfloat... So we have been bringing dinner to him on the nights he isn't overrun
We spend far too much time at petsmart... Free fun-- the dog grooming station is a favorite past time.
We also spend too much time here- petland-- they let you play with their puppies and hold their rabbits-- the kids' version of heaven
Creating-- this is the stable and manger from the nativity
We've been walking and exploring when daddy wakes up
And enjoying the nice weather outside ;) while daddy works-- here Ellie is singing to herself- Emmy is playing with her new bug "Stink" and Callan is making me laugh with his silliness
This was a little after 10:00 one night-- and I felt like I should capture it--
Our life has also been filled with packages and fun! Booky sent us a v day package and here are the girls enjoying their spoils ;)

OB appointment

I had my sugar test- so Emmy and Callan came with me and Ellie stayed home and slept with her daddy ;)
Emmy decided that this was the perfect location for a photo shoot--
And let's face it, after an hour of waiting-- anything that entertains is brilliant.
Callan isn't in any of these- because he is ripping the sanitizing paper from the exam table ;)

Snow day!!-- not the photo shoot ;)

The freezing rain
Daddy deicing his car before work
Enjoying the beginnings
Callan just kept eating it ;)
It started really coming coming down- and I got the kids inside by telling them that daddy would be so sad if they played in the snow without him ;)  bwagahahahahaha
We ended the night with some hot cocoa to warm up ;)
Here is a pic I sent to Jason--
We woke up to a winter wonderland!!! Elles liked the first 3 minutes-- and then just put up with it.
Emmy loved the whole thing-- until later that day when we played to long and she sobbingly declared that she hated snow and would never go out in winter again.

We used the top of a storage bin as a sled- didn't really work all that well-- later we used a laundry basket and that worked much better
Ellie did it once-- said "that was fun. I'm done"
Heading home
That night we made snow ice cream and chocolate sandies- yum!

Ellie's birthday celebration!

Ellie got 3 cards in the mail-- appropriate. One from great grandma Connie, one from Booky/papa and  Grammy/papa rich.
And was delighted by the "dollars- not money" as she told me
Emmy was very involved with helping Elles enjoy her birthday ;)
When Ellie fell asleep I decorated the mantel for her birthday the next morning- she loved it.

She got mermaids and fairies- and was entranced.
Auntie amber made this cute card ;)
Celebrations!! Callan's hat lasted about 2 seconds. Sad that the car outlasted him...
Grammy and papa rich sent a package!!! Again Emmy loved helping- and Elles was so sweet to let her

Here she is playing with the puzzle Grammy and waving her dollars in the air
Booky and Grammy sent the exact same card-- spooky ;)
Ellie's cake-- not my proudest creation- I was going to make cupcakes- but last minute  she changed her mind... So this banana chocolate chip creation was the best cake option available-- the best present of all was that Jason got to be home for her birthday -- a rare occurance. And he actually made the cake part and dinner! Ahhhh this freed me up to cuddle Elles and tell her a million stories-- I'm fairly certain I told the 3 little pigs at least 7 times.

snow-day!!!!! it was soooo fun and an impromptu little photo shoot ;)

I was there too-- here is the one pic to prove it-- and I taught the girls how to make snow angels… neither would do it-- which struck me as odd, considering the day before Ellie had been making dust angels on the floor of Hobby Lobby-- but, in her defense- it was VERY cold.

Jason- as always, is my hero-- he was on a crazy trauma night float shift all night long and came home and played in the snow with his kids instead of going to bed-- he is amazing -- I'm so thankful to have a husband who puts being a daddy in front of his own needs-- they will never know how hard residency was- and how often he wasn't here-- because he makes so much of when he is.

Emmy had been waiting all day for snow-- the phone predicted that it would start at 2:00== well 2:00 came and went and it was 28* and raining-- something I didn't think was possible… Emmy then changed the lyrics to the Frozen song to "Let it Snow" and belted it throughout the house. for hours… finally at 6:00 the rain turned to ice balls- I thought that was going to be as good as it gets-- but then FINALLY it started snowing and the kids were DELIGHTED!!!!! we went to bed with the coverage in the pic above and below and woke up to the BLANKET of white in the top pics--
