Night texts to Jason

Callan is out and Emmy just prayed for 7 minutes- the prayer included- but was not limited to blessing Jabba the Hut- you and me about 20 times- that the rhinos would be able to find food- and that she and Ellie would fall asleep and not give mommy any trouble -- and that she would find a large ring snake tomorrow.... It was almost surreal -

Attack spider web

So I'm outside getting the phone cord and I hear a blood curdling Ellie cry scream - I come running in and she is in the corner freaking out because the fake spider web won't get off her hands- and she is sobbing "it's moooving!!!! It's mooving!! It's alive!!!! It's scary!!" So I put it away and she laugh cries that "it's scary- yeah" for 5 minutes ;)

We love our crazy life

Family evening walks

Lately- the weather has been amazing and Jason has been working evenings- so it's been more "afternoon walks" we walk along the river- passing firefly lane and honeysuckle way-- the girls' latest scenically named location is butterfly meadow-- we just love this place!

A day

It was one of those days- before 9 am I had cleaned up off the floor - 2 poops and half a jar of peanut butter... We then went to Burger King - where Emmy feel off the play place into the wood chips far below-- getting a face full of scraps- a bloody lip and head full of chips... Then, we came home and went on walk-- where Elles decided to stomp in an ant pile-- earning her over a dozen abt bites. So, we came home and Daddy headed to work-- at which time Emmy knocked over the laptop (causing only a temporary brea) while Callahan was slobbering my phone speakers to the point that they didn't work for hours. It was just one of those days-- fun but crazy!

Little ku kus!

Seriously, the cutest bunch around ;)

Caramel apples!!

Jason decided to make our Sunday dessert- yum!!!
Fall flavored here we come!

Turning 32

My friend did a recap of her birthday year- and I thought it was such a good idea that I'm copying it! The highlight of my 31st year was having my son Callahan! During my 31st year- Emmy turned 4- Ellie turned 2- we moved 9 times- we applied for residencies- we MATCHED in PM&R (our hearts' desire) - we bought our second car (after being a 1 car family for 4 yrs) - we finished medical school- we began our transitional year in Columbus- we found out we were pregnant with Pumpkin Frederick (#4)- Callan learned to walk--- and bear crawl - we were unbelievably blessed in all aspects of our lives- we played a lot- we made new friends and re connected with old ones- we got to live with both sides of the family- we moved into a home we would be in for more than 3 months- we went to Disney a ton- the girls got their hair cut-we lived in a hotel for a few weeks- I spent most of the year with Callan moby wrapped to me, reading, telling stories , doing the laundry, cleaning, and singing. All in all, this year has been a good one- I wouldn't trade it for world! Can't wait to see what year 32 holds ;)
