We drove to Chelsea and saw the parade and the fair-- it was a PARTY!!!! It was Americana at it's finest== here are some present and past beauty queens.
the Jiffy Mix factory is in Chelsea-- so they passed out boxes of the stuff to the parade watchers-- yes please!!!!
and then there was the line of farmers on there tractors-- I loved this! Between these fabulous weathered men and the veterans-- I spent a lot of time almost crying.
waving to the farmers-- LOVE.
The floats threw 1000000 pieces of candy-- it was better than Halloween!!
Chelsea is Liz's hometown-- thanks to her this day was possible!
The FAIR!!! Animals are Emmy's favorite thing in the world-- she was in heaven!
The other kids liked the animals-- but weren't quite as in love as Jesse was with them...
"unusual eggplant"
Oh the glorious midwestern produce!
The bunny Emmy wants for her birthday. (it was the smallest)
a funny sign.
Emmy with her whole top half in a friendly (luckily) bunny's cage-- of course she's in there with it.
Ellie wasn't tall enough for the rides-- but isn't she just so cute?!
Emmy remains 38"-- will she never grow?! because of the height constrains her ride options were limited-- we told her she could only go on one anyways-- fairs are so pricey.
sadly-- we bought the perfect amount of tickets needed for the ferris wheel-- and as they got on-- it broke!
Don't worry- Emmy wasn't too crushed because she got 2 rides out of the deal (why the ferris wheel was more I'll never know)
