Emerald Pool!

here we are at the Emerald Pool!

It was very fun and a tiny bit chilly!

Emmy LOVED it- she wanted to swim everywhere- don't worry I didn't let her :)

there were such cool palm trees in the jungle- the roots were fabulous- Emmy loved them!

COCONUT man...

here is our friend the coconut man- he has 3 teeth...we love him. 1. he wacks
the coconut with a machete

until it cracks

then he opens it and then peels the outside off...

then he gives it to you in a bag for $3.00EC- fun!

Emmy then grabs the bag for herself- she really does and carries it with pride.

We LOVE Dominica!

what does an alligator say?

Isn't she so cute? Emmy sitll has a cold, obviously- but seems to be getting

a little better. This is the sound she makes for anything scary- Alligator-

Lion- and the other day we were reading a book with a shark in it and

incidentally- they growl too. Who knew?! The sad news is that there has

been an outbreak of swine flu here at Ross- I don't think really on the island-

but it's sure to spread from the students to the natives... so, I think we will be

going to our own private beach for a while or hanging at home :)

Emmy is sick but here she is making animal noises :)
