Oh Dominica!

Chocolate Frosting!

First- we haven't had the internet for 3 days- so angry! BUT I am using my neighbors so here come 2 posts :)

Emmy doesn't get sugar very often- I'm not one of those anti sugar moms- it's just that there aren't loads of treats down here. I make snacks- but mostly once she is asleep.

However~I made chocolate frosting on Sunday and Emmy was beyond herself!

I love the pics because they capture all of the various sugar high stages- from hyper to glazed.

Pure delight.

8 WEEKS ~ 2 months pregnant with Sugarbean

Whoot whoot! we are on our way.
Facts so far:
LOVING~
we are going home in 2 weeks!
red meat
salad
the fact that we've seen the crazy little heartbeat
that Sugar now has fingers and toes (I know, SO cute)
NOT LOVING~
the almost constant nausea
the occasional vomiting
the INTENSE exhaustion
worrying that everything I eat here will kill my baby
having to eat all of the time so that I don't throw up.

Here is how I went to church- not all the way out- but on their way.

Here is the fake hair before I threw it away= gross. Also- my maid somehow found bleach and used it strangely on our sheet- the funny part is that I don't have any bleach in the house to prevent this kind of thing from happening.

My mom was asking my what I would and would not miss about Dominica- I thought I would start throwing things in whenever I saw them- I WILL miss the crabs and the "National Geographic" moments every day.

I will NOT miss the horrible bugs EVERYWHERE- I included the gecko because I have almost killed this particular guy about 20 times before I realized that he was friend and not foe.

Yes, Emmy still has her ba ba- and normally she just lays nicely and drinks it- but when she has a cold, we will take just about any feeding position.

Friday Fun at Sister's Quarry.

It's actually Sister's Beach- but I just can't call a pile of rocks a beach- I prefer quarry- or cove

We had such a fun time throwing the rocks into the ocean.

I thought this was such a nice pic- just pretty.

the occational fit is TERRIBLE- but we are really enjoying this stage.

It's hard work being a mother of two AND holding a muffin in both hands-

Emmy is a very loving mother to both Baby and Ross and she still got to eat her breakfast...

This is the moment she woke up from a nap- she just looked so dewey and sleepy I had to capture it.

Emmy and Shane are best friends- so cute

We switch off with Josh and Kelly every other Friday night and let's just say that the kids are the one's who have the most fun EVERY time.

They really love each other.

Here they are swimming and looking lovingly at each other- a FAVORITE activity of theirs.

I can't even think of Emmy having to leave her Shane- the worst is that she won't even know it- we will have to skype and Kelly and I already have a pact that they will meet up again at BYU if only for a picture :)

Ultrasound!

Emmy slept the whole way there- I focused on not throwing up (and made it all the way to Rosseau before I did) and Jason was the father of the year- ps I love the sign behind J- ha!

and here is the result- the first of many many many pictures of Sugarbean- the Dr said that he/she was 8 weeks instead of the 7 I thought- but we'll see what the USA has to say and then make the choice.

We were all very excited.

We then made a day of it and explored the capital city- it was very fun and we ate at this gorgeous place- DELISH!

It was a very fun time and I'm so glad that Jason got to see Sugar before the whole world did :)

Father's Day-

Today was a great day- we honored the father's in our lives- and we LOVE them all~ Emmy was especially thankful for her father- the best in the world-

he had a long nap and got to relax and enjoy the family (with no studying) I didn't even pose them like this ps.

Jason was amazing and made us dinner AND did the dishes (I know, so sad) but I was feeling very sick and as I have said- he is the best!
